Delicious Smoothie Recipes That Will Keep You Snatched

The impending arrival of summer means we don’t have much time to put in the work that will have us looking and feeling our best – especially if you enjoy a sweet treat every now and then. Sticking to your fitness plan isn’t always easy but if you buckle down now, your summer slay goals are still achievable.

With these yummy smoothie recipes, you’ll get just what you need to stay on track and satisfy those pesky cravings.

Kiwi-Pineapple Smoothie
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ginger puree
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1 cup ice
1 cup water
2 kiwis
3 cubes frozen spinach

DIRECTIONS: Add the pineapple, turmeric, ginger and chia seeds to a high-powered blender, along with around two thirds of the ice. Add a dash of water, and blend until smooth. You can adjust the consistency by adding more water, if you prefer. Pour the pineapple smoothie into two glasses, and set aside. Rinse the blender (no need to wash it thoroughly), and add the remaining ice, peeled kiwis, frozen spinach and another dash of water. Blend until smooth. Again, you can adjust the consistency with more water, and you can also add a dollop of honey or agave if the smoothie isn’t quite sweet enough for your taste. Pour the kiwi smoothie over the pineapple smoothie, and use a spoon or straw to gently swirl the two colors together. Serve immediately.

Cherry Coconut Smoothie
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp Coconut water
4oz Chopped pineapple (fresh or frozen)
6oz Pitted cherries – fresh or frozen)
2 tsp (heaped) Desiccated (flaked) coconut
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS: Put all of the ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately.

Cranberry Mango Layered Smoothie
2 handfuls of spinach
1.5 cups frozen mango
1/2 cup almond milk
a splash of orange juice
3/4 cup cranberries
1/2-3/4 cup frozen raspberries or frozen strawberries
1/4 cup almond milk
1/4 cup orange juice
sweeten if desired with honey, agave, etc.

DIRECTIONS: First, blend your green smoothie using your favorite blender. Pour into a glass (or two small cups) and place in the freezer. Give your blender a quick rinse, then blend the cranberry layer. For a perfect, clean line between the two layers, you’ll want to also pop this one in the freezer, but in a separate glass. Freeze for about 10 minutes then use a spoon to gently transfer the cranberry smoothie on top of the green smoothie so your layers are perfectly even.

Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie
2 cups lemonade
3/4 cup (6 ounces) lemon yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups frozen unsweetened strawberries

DIRECTIONS: Place all ingredients in a blender; cover and process for 15 seconds or until blended. Serve immediately.

Banana Almond Smoothie
1 frozen peeled banana, broken into 3–4 chunks
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/8 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

DIRECTIONS: Combine banana, almond milk, almond butter, and almond extract (if using) in a blender and puree until smooth.
